WOW! I Networked!!!
Ok, just had to share this because I'm SO happy! Today at work a lady came in and during the credit application process she told me that she was a massage therapist. She is an older lady and just seemed so sweet and bubbly, so I asked her how long she had been a massage therapist and what school she went to, etc., you know, just making conversation. I told her that I was a massage therapist too and that I didn't have an office because I was a birth doula and that was my main focus. WELL... She is the only prenatal massage therapist (besides me) in town! I had seen her ads before but never called or met her. I felt that she like everyone else in town would be like, "Birth doula? What's that?" and lose interest, but when I mentioned I was a doula she was so excited! She gave me a bunch of her cards and I have her mine... I mean... it was like an amazing moment, someone actually gets me! I'm networking!!!
