i just finalized my logo and wanted to share. it took me bloody forever to get the colours right but i'm quite pleased with myself.

i chose a lotus flower because i think visually it represents birth in a beautiful way plus i'm buddhist so it has personal meaning to me as well.

i noticed that too! and apparently lots of people use the word lotus in their business name. good thing we're all pretty spread out geographically.

Does it say Doula K? That last letter is hard to read in that font for some reason. I love the lotus flower picture, it is really pretty and different from the others I have seen. One concern I have for you is when you have to shrink this down to fit on a business card, your text will become so small that it might be unreadable. The text is also a very pretty color at this size but when shrunk down the contrast may not be high enough to be clear. You might want to test it out on a home printer to be sure it works well at a very small size.

thanks emily - i'm definitely going to test it out before ordering business cards. and yes the letter "k" looks funky in almost every script font i tested so i just went with what i liked best...
