I got organised
I did it, I did It oh yeah yeah yeah....
Okay so I took the challenge and this is the result.
I cannot believe the amount of rubbish and unnecessary paper I was hoarding.
Here's what I did. I took a big black plastic bag and sat down on the floor of the desk facing the cupboards. I pulled everything out and sorted it all into heaps. Birthing stuff, kids schools stuff, study stuff, junk stuff (loads of that), hubby's stuff, school stuff and the list goes on. At this point I realised I had no proper place for all these wonderful new topics I'd just created so I got out all those old shoe boxes and labelled each one accordingly and voila' each topic had a place that would stack up neatly on top of each other. All those loose little fiddly bits had place now too.
I cleared off the desk all the junk (yet again loads of it) and left only those things that I absolutely needed there. Hubby's stuff was transferred to other shoe boxes for his side of the desk.
Once I took the challenge I felt like a bee on a mission and I couldn't go to sleep until I'd started at least. Needless to say I was clearing out till the wee little hours of the morning.
I feel really good. I know where to find everything and I don't have to cringe when someone comes by.
Another bonus is not having to worry about the kids grabing stuff that doesn't belong to them or making of with an important piece of paper.
