Off to network, market myself

Hey ladies, I'm going to A Celebration of Motherhood event, by the Rhode Island Birth Network. It's just a social gathering with teas, snacks, free stuff, pregnant mamas, doulas and midwives. I've got some brochures, and business cards. I just need some positive vibes.I really want a client...I'm going through birth withdrawals. Wish me luck!

Wow! I am so happy I went. I met so many wonderful people. Other doulas, a chiropractor, 2 massage therapists, ayervedic naturopaths, lactation consultant, hypnobirth educator. Only a few pregnant mamas. They did a babywearing fashion show. They had great healthy food (no cake) hehe.
I got so many business cards and gave away lots of mine. The best part is that I met a midwife who asked me for my card because she is starting a homebirth midwifery business. She got a law passed in our state just weeks ago.
