I haven't used Craigslist in reguards to my doula business, but I have used it for numerous other things. Just give it some time and remember to repost your ad because it will get bumped and most people don't scroll past the first couple pages. All you need is for the right person to stumble upon the ad

Good Luck!

I have had a bit of success with it. When I posted DISCOUNT RATE in my headline, I got five emails about it and three clients. But that could just be craigslist randomness.

It helps, I think, to post in different places (Theraputic Serices, Baby and Kids, etc.), for which you will need separate email addresses.

Good luck!

Arrow Check out these past threads...

Some of our members have had success using CraigsList in the past. Here are a few threads where we've discussed advertising with CraigsList (click underlined links to view):

I have had limited success. Just make sure it's used in your area and is popular. When I went to Oklahoma to visit my parents and went looking for trucks on craigslist there, it wasn't very popular. No one seemed to know what it was. It's VERY popular here though.

Thanks ladies!! I will keep trying, then.. I am in the Portland area, so craigslist is pretty huge. No luck yet, however!! I will keep reposting and hoping something comes up!!

One of the ladies that took the class with me has tried Craigs list in Portland Or and Vancouver WA and only gotten one client. So I don't know. It is hard to find the right place to put an ad.

Boo hoo I don't have a Craig's List. There is one for Anchorage but that's still 500 miles from me lol.

Tried it when I first started and didn't even get one hit. So, today as a trial, I posted in four different areas. We'll see what comes of it!

I got several clients from craigslist, but I'm in the Bay Area, so that makes a difference.

I've looked over the Craigslist here. It scares me.

OK, I tried posting in the baby and kids section and my ad was flagged and removed. The only place I am allowed to post it is in Theraputic services.
In fact, the first ad I placed in Theraputic services was flagged and removed as well because my heading was in ALL CAPS and apparantly that is not allowed, either.
