upcoming births

anyone else get really excited when they've got births any second now? i've got a mom due sept 19th and one ue oct 7th, first momma is prone to preterm labor and is already having laods of 'practice' contractions so i feel like it wont be much longer, and the second is a vbac, sectioned early for preecclampsia the first time so who knows how long she'll go. i'm just all psyched and energetic cuz who knows when they'll pop lol

YES! Totally! I have a client due around the same time as your first client, and she is a primip, so I am anticipating a close-to-due date or post date birth. We have a prenatal coming up after next week and I LOVE doing those, the labor preparation, etc.

Very exciting!

o first times are so exciting!!! my second up coming is a vbac, and the one after her is a vbac too so i feel like its their first time, theres so much riding on it for them, they just want a normal birth (and i dont blame em!)

I just had a third time mama give birth 3 weeks early. She usually gestates for 38 weeks anyway so I was expecting early but....3 weeks early!!! The baby weighed 8lbs 8oz...almost a 1lb bigger than her 2nd child and 2 lbs bigger than her 1st.

It was a beautiful home water birth!!! And I was proud to be a part of it.

Just attended one as well, first homebirth since Nov 2004..boy was I jonesin' for a HB...I always anticipate but also seem to be very intuitive to my clients. I either dream about them or just start thinking about them alot the night or a few days before they start labor. As with this client..I was thinking..hmmm _____ could be having her baby any day now...sure enough the next morning I got a call from her...kinda freaky but kinda cool!!! NExt one any day then I am "off" until October with 5 in waiting....

Cool!

I just get nest-y/antsy... clean the house, re pack the birth bag, organize stuff but theres no rhyme or reason, sometimes it's the next day sometimes a week from then... let's just say my house is very clean at the moment :p that always helps when I come home from a birth because then it gets trashed!
