Pregnancy & Reproductive Video Clips

Discovery Health has some great video clips that some of you might find interesting (scroll down to the "Pregnancy & Reproductive" section).

I love the Fetal Development one (and the flying baby at the end LOL) but they ruined it by saying the baby would be cleaned and checked before being placed on mama's chest.

I saw a great show on the National Geographic channel a couple of nights ago. They followed the baby from conception to birth and talked about things like u/s exposure etc... The baby was naturally born with a midwife in attendance and they acted as if midwife births were the norm (probably is where they were). I thought it was great and I want to find out if I an get it on video. I'll have to look around.

That was great. The only thing that gets me laughing is watching the baby float away. My daughter (she's 4) and I went through the videos and she was so curious, she kept asking for more! I love that we all find neat stuff adn share it ... I love community!

Sarah ordered it from their website. It was around $40 I think. It's the 3 hour long one called "From Conception Through Birth" or something like that. It is amazing!!!

Ummm... on the assisted delivery one, they said the baby is "gently" pulled out... yeah right! Some babys are pulled out so hard they have developmental issues later on in life.

And no wonder the baby couldn't "fit through the birth canal," shes on her back!

Ow!

Here is another pretty cool one, but it is too bad that the clip that shows the labor process, they use an epidural birth, and not an natural one, but it is still pretty good, and informative. I think that they use a lot of clips from the show call "In the Womb" or something like that. I had it on my TIVO at one point, but I deleted it, cause I had seen it like four times, LOL The ending was different than the one they use here. I think that it is the same video that Ashely is talking about! They must of changed the name or something. I swear that the show had the word WOMB in it the title somewhere!

Thanks Erin, I like that video, the only thing that's a pain is the men erectile or whatever commercial that you have to watch before each video!

Is there an end to that? Anyway, I will be taking notes. If anyone has any more videos to share ... please do! Does anyone know if you can burn those on to DVD? I am always looking for cheap alternatives, the birth videos are so expensive.
