Question To all my ladies with ideas

It a new day and I have new questions. None of my questions are related, just streams of thought that woke me up at 4am.

1. I want to start making things and sell them on my website ... pregnancy, birth and infant related. I know that I have to put pictures up,
but
  • what do I do about payment?
  • Do I only give people who email my address?
  • How do i set up to accept their credit card info?
  • How do i make my site secure?
  • Does anyone know how to link to Pay Pal and does it cost money?
2. Is about the Bearevement support group I go to, www.pbso.ca. I would like to make a financial contribution, but finances to DO NOT allow me to write a check right now. So my next thought was about fundraising. The only problem is the topic might turn some people off, so I need to some ingenious, creative ideas that are non-threating and non-offensive so that people will contribute. Any ideas?

3. Name Tag ideas for BRU's Baby Fest? I thought about laminating my business card, or those "Hello my name is" stickers. The Fest is on September 9th, so I won't have time to buy one custom name. Again ideas would be appreciated.

Ok, I think I have everything off my mind for right now. Thank you so much for taking the time to read my post and offer up any ideas. I hope you all have a great day, I am off to enjoy a day with my hubby at home!!!

I think you would have time to get a name tag made for yourself by ordering from staple, office depot or similar, also if you have one local some make them in store.

As for the paypal. It doesn't cost you money to set it up, but a small amount will be taken out base on percentage, but it isn't much. The pay pal site will give your info and once you set up your account will give you html code to create a button for you to place on your site for people to pay you. My understanding is that the button will then link to the paypal site which is secure, so everything on your end will be secure.

what do I do about payment? If you are selling stuff on your website why not set up an account with paypal so they can pay right online? Then you aren't waiting for their check to come, worrying about it bouncing, etc - the funds are automatically transferred.

Do I only give people who email my address? Why would you give anyone your address? If you are selling stuff online and they pay online then you mail whatever the product is to them (don't forget to add shipping charges into your prices or at the end).

How do i set up to accept their credit card info? You can do this through paypal or through another one called propay - paypal is free and propay you pay a yearly fee for.

How do i make my site secure? That I can't help you with - sorry.

Does anyone know how to link to Pay Pal and does it cost money? I would go to their site and read up on it. There is a lot of information there and way more than I could explain here. You can get a free account and can actually add shopping carts to your website, etc for free.
