good newborn care DVD?

I'm trying to find a decent DVD to loan out to clients on newborn care. I have "The ABC's of Baby Care", but I'm not impressed! I have The Baby Whisperer but again, not impressed (especially with breastfeeding information). I just want something that has some good basic care information that isn't 'dumb', and that doesn't really try to push a certain parenting style. THANKS!

Most of the baby care DVDs out there are outdated and just not very good. Injoy has a program called See What You Read and they have a bunch of different books that you use in conjuction with the internet. They have one called Mother and New Baby Care that covers everything from a new mom's healing and nutrition to topics about newborns (such as jaundice, umbilical cord care, circumcision care, diapering, temp taking, bathing, crying, etc). I really think this is a great way for the parents to read and see the topics they need the most info on.

I think the website is www.seewhatyouread.com but if that doesn't work, you can always go to injoy videos website.

Hope that helps!!

Darla, I just got the Seewhatyouread "understanding birth" booklet, and I am really liking it! I am going to order a set tomorrow. I'm going to ask for a sample of the Mother and New Baby Care, because I'm sure I'll add that to my library as well. I was so excited about these books, I was going to post about them! (On a side note I'm not trying to decide if I want to get the video "understanding birth", or the powerpoint)!

I think you are right that this might be really helpful! I'm looking forward to checking it out!

Thanks

Trisha

I was just on the website and there's a place to order samples of the birth, breastfeeding & mother/ baby care books.
