I'm back! And other stuff
Please see my announcement:
I'm baaaaaack!
Feel free to comment in this thread.
For those of you who have PMed, emailed, and asked.. Mallory is home as of last Thursday and she's doing pretty well.
She spent 2 weeks in NICU, 2 weeks in NPCU (progressive care) and we did the last week in Care by Parent. The last few weeks were all about feeding. I became very frustrated when I would come in and see that she kept having tube feeds even though she was 37 weeks gestation. She is just pokey and slow, and ended up picking up on the bottle better. So after 48 hours of taking every feed from a bottle she was able to come home.
For the new members who have no idea who I am. I am the creator and administrator of alldoulas and have been absent for almost two months because of the above reason. You are going to start seeing changes as I begin to implement things that were supposed to be implemented a couple weeks ago.
Anyhow, I hope you've all been enjoying the site and have found it to be a helpful resource while I was gone!

Welcome back
Welcome back!
We have never met but I feel like I know you. I am a Doula in the East part of Scarborough. I started my Doula journey last year with DONA and am still on the certification path. I want to thank you for allowing me to participate on this board, I have learned more in the past month then I ever thought possible.
I am also a mother of a preterm child (36weeks). It was one of the most stressful time (but rewarding) of my life. She is now a thriving 4 year old and I think without the stigma of being labelled early she has truly over stepped all the hurdles that were put in front of her. Best of luck, and if I can be of any help, a shoulder to cry on or whatever you need please send me an email. Best of luck and I am so happy that your family is now back together.

I'm so glad to hear that you are back and that everything is going well with the baby! I'm excited to hear that there will be some changes....I'm just wondering what you could do to make this place better, it is already great! Well..... back and we look forward in hearing more updates and seeing some more pictures of the new little girl!
