I know that Sarah hasn't been on here for a long time either (she's had a lot going on too with Jason's back surgeries), but I have to toot her horn!
Because I have been so sick she has really had to pick up a lot of slack on my end. We got a client before I found out that I was pg. Then we met her twice and loved her and her dh. Then my HG set in and I couldn't go to any more prenatals with Sarah.
When she went into labor, Sarah really stepped up to the plate. She took care of everything. She was there from Sunday afternoon until Tuesday at 3 in the morning. I was able to talk to her quite a bit and she didn't complain one single time. The mom had a lot going on with the labor and even had to have emergency surgery when the baby was just minutes old, but Sarah was awesome!!
Keep in mind, this was the very first birth that she ever did by herself and she was not at all mentally prepared to go at it alone! She told me that she kept trying different stuff that I showed her and that she learned from you guys.
On a selfish note, it really sucked that I missed a birth. Really sucked.
Just thought that I would give her a for being so great! And I am just totally proud that she did so well. (Course she does have the best mentor in the world... )

Well, please tell Sarah that we are very proud of her for such a job well done! We miss her, too, but also understand how life is. Some people don't realize that I, also, have a life outside of Alldoulas! I can't express enough how good it is to see you here and posting again. I'm sure that Sarah is glad that you're feeling better, too.
