Maybe a New Year Baby!

Just got a call from my client who is 4 days overdue and she's been having contractions all morning, they're headed to the hospital to get checked and decide whether or not to stay. Maybe we'll have the first new baby born in town tonight!

Yeah, me too! My client id due on the 3rd. She called last night w/regular ctx. They eventually faded away. But maybe, just maybe we'll have a new year's baby here too. What with the low pressure system moving in and the full moon coming up, odds are good! Best wishes to you and your client!

Nope- none for me! Spent 3 hrs in the hospital last night with my client, she lost her pattern completely. I have no idea why they admitted her anyway- she was at 0cm. She's VBA2C and so they said they'd already had one uterine rupture that day and were antsy. So she went from a nice 5 min apart pattern to 15 min apart to nothing. By 11pm, she was tired and wanted to sleep so she sent me home.

Trying very hard not to be annoyed and still hopeful that she'll get the birth she wants, not another c-sec.

I had a New Year's baby! She was a possible VBAC who chose to have the c/s for fear of rupture. But, she was a very happy mom who made her own decisions. We welcomed the new year with a 9 lb 4.5 oz baby girl!
