Yippee - 3rd birth in 2 1/2 weeks

I am so happy. It looks like I will be going in for my third birth in 2 1/2 weeks. This makes me so happy because as some of you might remember I was stressing out over the decision to go back to subbing or not while I was trying hard to get my businesses going. I had signed up for subbing and hated the thought of it. The subbing woman has called me twice to come in and both times she has called when I wasn't home so the jobs ended up going to someone else - I just cannot sit home all day waiting by the phone for this woman to call and she won't call my cell).

Well, as my luck would have it I had two births in the last 2 1/2 weeks and just got the call from the hospital that I will be going into the hospital in the morning or sometime during the night with another client (unless she goes into the hospital within the next 25 minutes and then another doula is on call, but I don't think that will happen and am confident I will get to go in )

I am so happy - although the hospital births don't pay nearly as well as private clients it is nice to know that if I do this birth I will have paid for the rent on my office and any money I make from this point forward this month will be profit (I need some profit ) Since I will be teaching at least four days this month then that will be my profit.

Wow-that's a lot of birth action! Happy to hear it went well and that you're finally seeing some profit. Hope your massage business picks up soon.

I do too!!!! Unfortunately the city called me and begged me to stay on. I told the subbing woman that I couldn't dedicate the time like they originally said and she laughed and said she would take me whenever she could get me and begged me to stay on. I told her it might be only a couple of days a month and she was completely okay with that.

As much as I am hesitant on the subbing I am going to sub next Monday for 1/2 day and see how it goes and I told her that
