Help me figue out a way to donate/advertise

I mentioned before my very good friend and May client lost her husband December 27th to a masive heart attack. It has been a whirlwind of sadness, surprise, and grief. I had the idea tonight to secure a client and onate all the proceeds to my friend. of course I already told her I would not charge her, even if she hit the lotto, because I am honored to do this for her family -- it is a small thing I can do to help them.

So, I am not raffling off my services, I want a client to pay full price, but I want them to know their money will go straight to my friend's family to help them during this time of great sadness and ultimately, need. Any pr ideas? Any advertising ideas? i don't have any clients on my calendar until May. I would love to get a client asap and do this.

Help me ladies! it is for a very good cause!

Maybe advertise on craigslist.com?? Do you have a website?? We could do a word of mouth campaign.

Lightbulb

Does she have a church or faith based community that you could contact? You could let them know of your plans and they could help you spread the word. What about your local paper? Not sure about where you live, but our local paper usually does articles on things like this. Or the local radio station maybe? If they know that you aren't going to make a profit I would think that they would consider doing this for free. Doesn't hurt to ask.
Is there anyone else who is going to do something for the family that you could team up with? Kindv'e a joint fund raiser pr venture?
HTH. Best wishes. Thanks for helping this mom out! Doulas like you give us a good name.
