concern/idea

Okay, I have a concern.. you all know that anyone can get on this board and read these threads... so I don't feel really confortable in saying things of a clinet b/c what if for some reason (which could be too much coinsidence) that person is reserching and comes up to this board ans starts reading threads and reads her story that would be terrible and embarrising even though no names would be said of course but still..

I just think I'd like that idea that was said before about having a private thread or something to discuss other issues or have something where some threads are public for guests to read...

All the forums are public I beleive except the coffee house. Val? Cathy? Lori? Am I right???

After Christy's thread about searching for yourself online I found that "My Doula Stacia" has my website (Great!) and then some links to my website (very good) and then posts I have made to AllDoulas. Yikes!
I think when I am haming it up on here it might come across not so professional if people looking to hire me see me with threads about..............oh say PRIVATE PARTS!
It would be nice if All Doulas was like Yahoo Groups where you have to ask to be a member and then be "ok'd."

I am pretty sure only members can see the Coffee House threads! you can "ham it up" there lol

Tiffany does approve new registrants before they have membership privileges. It wasn't like that at first when some of us joined, but it has been that way for a little while now.

True; almost all of the posts can be read by lurking as a "guest", and sometimes off of the search engines. Jill and Christy are correct in that the Coffee House is strictly for Members Only, as well as the Chat, so you should be able to "let your hair down" in those areas. Those posts will not show up on search engines and can only be viewed by approved members. Disclaimer: In any case, one never really knows who all is reading, so post at your own risk; but, don't forget to have fun while doing so.
