can't post my intro

I cannot figure out how to post my intro. I accidentally posted it on another thread, and when I try to copy and repost it as a new thread, the site tells me I can't post messages with links in it--but I didn't include any links, just a simple message.

I'm about ready to give up on this site. Too complicated! Or I'm just too simple.
Oh well, if someone can help me, please let me know.

I can move your thread into Introductions for you. If you have any specific questions about navigating the site that I can help you with, I'd be happy to help.

Also...For future reference on copying: if you click "preview" to view your post before submitting, then you can do a left click and drag to highlight what you want to copy. Then, right click/copy, then go to make a new thread/post somewhere else and do a right click/paste. I will go ahead and move your intro for you, though. Let me know if I can be of further assistance!

I sent you a PM with instructions. Try to copy/paste again while making a new thread. I can do this for you, but it will show as me making the post instead of you. Let me know if it doesn't work.

ETA: I can move entire threads to new forums and thought that was what you needed until I searched and found the post you're talking about. Since it's an individual post within someone else's intro thread, I don't have the option to move it over without doing a copy/paste. As I've said before, that would make it show that I posted it. I will see if Tiff can help with this.

Please don't give up! I'm not sure why it says you're trying to link when you're not, but if you still aren't able to copy/paste, then I will see if Tiff can help you (tomorrow, probably). We'll get this figured out!

Ronni was able to successfully copy her post to make a new one. I deleted the old one for her. This issue is resolved.

ETA: I also know how to move the individual posts now. That issue hadn't come up for me before.
