oh so proud of my little foot!
Ok, so my feet are ugly, gross, and... LONG.
But I really am proud of my cheesy design. I'm trying to get more intricate. Tell me what you think.

*sniff sniff* I'm so proud. Very nice lines. While you were doing it, especially the curly cue one, did you pay attention to how the henna laid down if you were pushing the lines and when you were pulling them? Do you know what I mean? I assume the first picture is with the paste recently off and the second paste is the following day or so after paste removal? You got a really nice, dark stain. Veddy good dahlink! I like the geometrical more then curlies but that is just my personal preference.
Did you mix the paste yourself? Did you write down your recipe? Did you use terps? What were they?

Yhm, no I dont know what you mean.
I did mix it myself. I used the recipe from hennacaravan.com, with the cajeput and orange oil for terps, sugar, lemon juice and henna powder, that's all. It's starting to fade now and I'm wanting to do a more intricate design. I am afriad I'm going to put the cart before the horse though, and end up looking stupid for trying to do something better than what I can do.

No no, don't feel stupid. Do it. Go find a really intricate one that you like and try to copy it. It probably WONT turn out like the original. But it will be your own. Try looking up some Moroccan designs if you like your second one best.

By pushing and pulling the paste I mean how you are holding your cone or bottle when you apply the paste. If you are holding the point away from you and "pushing" the cone as the paste is squeezed out or if you are pulling the cone as the paste is being squeezed out. Hard to explain, maybe I need more coffee.
