Basic henna for beginner

I would love to try henna. I saw that www.hennapage.com was recommended for beginners. Is the Henna School worth the money or should I just get some samples to try first? Is there a less expensive basic kit for beginners?

That's the kit I bought to start out with. It's been great!! Everything you need is right in the box.

That's a really good deal actually. I have several of the items included and I know they cost me more then that bought individually.
