On going henna chat.
I thought since so many of us were interested in henna we could consolidate all of our info and sharing here in this thread to make it easier on us.
My most recent hand design has really just faded enough for another one but I am waiting until after tomorrow night (our graduation ceremony). I get to be the one handing the graduates their "symbolic" diplomas and being up on stage with our board of directors, executive director, a very important keynote speaker, etc. I thought I would wait. Hurrry hurry, I feel nekkid with a bare hand! I wish I had the guts to do it as I'll be in every dang picture of each graduate and it would be great publicity lol.
Of course, I'll also be wearing a dress and nylons so they will be able to see the henna on my feet and legs hahahaha.

Where I learned. http://www.hennapage.com
It is the most awesome source of information and sharing I have found.
Teachingmommaof4's first design.
My very first henna design
Henna and hair (which I just added another, rather larger, strand. Oh yea, some pictures of my cones in there too.
Henna and hair
Teresa's and SabbethD's belly henna, henna cookies, some discussion about toxic black henna, some how to's on the third page.
Belly Henna? Anyone else do this?
My quickie Henna 101.

A little birdie told me that there might be a dedicated Bellycasting & Henna forum for you all soon. If it comes to fruition, we'll move the henna threads over for you (and we'll let you know, of course).

Georganne ~ Can't wait to see your new henna!!
I did the top of my other foot yesterday. And practiced on the palm of my hand. Then my girls all wanted something so I did a small flower on one of their palms.
Then they had the bright idea of me doing henna on their hands for Father's Day. They want me to put "Dad" on one and "Rules" on the other.

I could definitely get into this! Is the henna expensive?

The actual henna powder is very cheap. It is time expensive though but not too bad. Practice makes perfect.

That's too funny. My 5 year old daughter loves getting henna (yes I am hennaing under 6). She actually holds pretty still too. My son doesn't like it much but I think he once got in trouble for marking on himself in school lol.
I've got a perfectly rolled cone of my best mix yet so I am thinking of going for a full bridal. Too bad I can do my right hand too.

The kit I bought was $46 total. And it has pretty much everything you need to get started (minus the lemon juice or whatever you use as the sour part of the mix).

My youngest dd is 4.5.
I'm thinking about adding to my first design. LOL Or maybe do something on the side of my left foot.

I am getting totally into this! A forum would be great! Thank you!
I have spent so much time on the henna page website reading and learning, I can't wait to start!
