Join me in the henna club, ladies!
I'm in the process of ordering henna RIGHT NOW. I'm going to do it!
I'd like to do it professionally at some point, you know... but I need to practice first. I have 2 sisters and myself and my mother, and so that will only allow me a certain amount of practice area. My mother wasnt quite sure at first, the whole tattoo idea and the Bible verse saying dont tattoo yourselves (I reminded her it said for the dead) and we talked about it and all that, so now she told me she wants a henna tat on her ankle.
Never would've expected that!
my 13 y/o sis reluctantly agreed to let me practice on her and I'm sure my 9 y/o sis will when it comes down to it. I'm just ordering a sample, 20 oz, and enough of that oil for 20 oz, just to see if I am at least somewhat capable. Then I'll order more if I think I can do it.

I'm excited!
Thanks, Georganne, for inspiring me!

Kylie,
I just henna'd my 9yo dd's palm a few minutes ago. This is my third attempt and (so far) my best. I found a beginner's kit at AC Moore. I wanted to see if I was really interested, before I ordered a bunch of stuff online. I am planning to place my order tomorrow.

Ok, sure I'll jump on the henna wagon! Didn't someone mention new forum
Are you buying it online? Do you have a link?
I'll go search Georganne's threads...

yeah I got it from that website Georganne posted.
I'm getting the sample sizes of the henna and just a few applicators. I am SO FREAKING EXCITED!

You're going to love it!!! It look complicated but the designs are pretty simple if you look at them closely.
What helped me was practicing a lot with pen/pencil and paper. Applying the henna takes practice since you have to control the flow while making the design.

I should get some for my daughter....she is constantly practicing on her boyfriends leg or back with a marker!! It doesn't so much look like henna, but more tattoo designs done is solid black. She wants to do bellys with henna though.

The Henna Page is where I suggest ordering from. Not to sound like a commercial for them but they really do have all the EVIDENCED based information, CERTIFIED dealers (guaranteeing quality, fresh henna and good business practices) and a variety of topics. You can order sample size stuff almost free. They provide a lot of information on cd for free, etc. I am not related to their business at all, just know a quality site when I see it lol.

You should have her look into doing harquus, beautiful, black designs. This is not henna as henna is not black. But they are striking.
