Lightbulb Welcome to Herbs, Holistics & Homeopathics

Welcome to the Herbs, Holistics, and Homeopathics Forum!
This is where we can discuss alternative therapies for pregnacy, birth & postpartum.
Here's a short summary of these alternatives:

HERBS:
Herbs are considered to be food rather than medicine because they are complete, all-natural and pure just as nature intended. When using herbs, properly, the body starts to be cleansed, thus purifying itself. This gives the body nutrients to function better. Unlike chemically synthesized, highly concentrated drugs that can produce countless side effects, herbs can realign the body’s defenses, assisting your body to heal itself without any side effects. Herbs do not produce instant miracle cures, but rather offer a way to put the body in tune with nature.

HOMEOPATHY:
Derived from two Greek words, "homios," or "similar" and "pathos," or "suffering. Homeopathy is a path of treatment that will mimic the symptom of the sufferer to reinforce the person's natural defenses to move toward restoring good health. Treatment is based on the administration of minute doses of a drug that in massive amounts produces symptoms in healthy individuals similar to those of the disease itself. It is the opposite of Allopathy.

HOLISTIC:
Holistic therapy is a generic term for any treatment / therapy session that is intended to treat the individual as a whole on all levels - mind, body and spirit. Most complementary or alternative therapies could be regarded as holistic.

....And remember:
This community is NOT for giving or seeking medical or legal advice. Only those whose scope involves it MAY give appropriate advice. I know what to tell her about getting her into labor but what about getting her cervix ready anything natural she can do?
