Question Gentle Birth, naturally improve your birth experience

I just saw this ad in this months Mothering (pg 24)-

It doesn't mention what is in it. It looks like a bottle of tincture. Has anyone seen this product, or know what it contains?

A client just asked me about this. She had heard really good results from her friends, but was concerned about the blue cohosh. Apparently you can also get this tincture without the red raspberry or blue cohosh. I am curious if anyone has tried this or what they think about using blue cohosh in the last 4 weeks of pregnancy.

Namaste,

Jessie

One of the home birth midwives I work with uses this with many of her clients. The moms I've worked with have had good results, but hard to say if it was the tincture, or simply because they were second-timers, as opposed to primips. My doula partner was using it and still went to 41w5d, so I don't think it's magic.

My own personal opinion, for my own body, is that I trust my parts to work properly without outside influence -- just as I don't need hospital-based interventions, I don't need natural ones.
