Black Cohosh to start period?

I heard that taking black cohosh can start your period.

I'm due in a few days. I'd REALLY rather start today because I'd like to get my non-movable time out of the way in time to prepare for Passover. I have the house to clean (not just dusting... I mean KOSHERIZING!), and matze to bake, not to mention having to take inventory on every single thing that has chameitz (leaven) in it before I start cleaning...
anyway.
Is there any way to urge it to come a little early? I have a "slow flow" tincture that my doc gave me that stops bleeding, anywhere from 2 hrs to 2 days... so I hope only to have 2 days of misery, and then have enough time to get my Pesach stuff done.
But I have to start SOON!!!!
Any ideas? HELP!!!!

Thanks!
Neshama

Actually, Chamomile is an emmenogogue. I would make a very strong tea, and drink a couple quarts over the course of the day. Although, it is more effective if you are late, than bringing it on early, I think.

My herbology teacher, who is an ND, says its good for those who are freaking out due to a late period (think they are pregnant, and don't want to be). The chamomile calms them, and is an emmenogogue, so brings on their period.

Sooo...it might help with your grumpy mood too!

Hope the timing all works out for you!!

Motherwort is also used to encourage bleeding.
I find that mediation and prayer are also helpful (I know, it sounds so weird to think of praying to get your period....), just taking some time to reconnect with your body.
Hope one or some of these things works for you!

Thanks guys!
I have been praying, "L-RD! PLEASE LET ME BE MOBILE TO PREPARE FOR PESACH!" I know that B"H my family will be able to handle things without me, but I feel so guilty when I'm just laying there and they have to take up all my slack!

Neshama, I'm glad to help!
Forgive my ignorance, but could you elaborate on what you mean by 'non-movable' time? I'm feeling a little in the dark...

lol...
well, I have really painful periods. It gets so bad that I cannot move, I'm literally stuck on the couch. One month it was so bad that I fell of the couch, and then could not get back on because I could not move my legs!
My doctor gave me a tincture that gets the bleeding to hurry up and stop, and with it the cramps. As well as some sage tea which very well may be my absolute best freind.
Thanks again for your help...

OH! and does anybody know exactly where that pressure point is on your foot? I heard that it was four finger widths from your "inner ankle" but I'm not quite sure what that means... where exactly!?
Thanks tons!
