It's finally time - looking for some volunteers!

As the one year anniversary of alldoulas.com approaches, I find myself looking at a long list of projects I'd like to complete before then. I have a lot of neat and exciting features to release, and because of this I am also expecting a jump in membership. While alldoulas is still small, I know it's time to establish a staff of forum leaders to help keep the community active, protect its integrity, and help with various upcoming events and projects.

Soon, we'll be hosting live chats with guest speakers (which I find very exciting!), initiating fun and thought provoking threads in the forums, and challenging you professionally and personally with a new system.

I am also planning to relaunch us in a new style for our anniversary.

Going back to my original intent of this announcement, if you have been an active member of alldoulas.com for the last 60 days, and are interested in volunteering some of your time each week to help our growing community as a Forum Leader, you may apply at this link:

Please, only apply if you are going to take this seriously and have a passion for supporting other doulas! That's what this community is all about. We only have a few positions to fill right now, but as we grow larger and the need arises, I will be asking for more help.

I do not have Forum Leader documentation written up yet, and since this is the first attempt at putting a staff together for alldoulas, the answer to "What does a Forum Leader do??" is not set in stone for now. The basics to know are that you will be keeping your assigned forums active, answering user questions, ensuring users adhere to our guidelines, starting activities and working on the occasional project.
