New Marketplace Rules (A Community Guidelines Update)

Our Marketplace rules have been rewritten to be more detailed and clear. With this comes a big change which specifically affects new users -- To view Marketplace posts and place ads, you MUST have a minimum of 20 posts. This is to help avoid the spam bots that register for the sole purpose of posting ads, and also because selling in the Marketplace should be done between users who are reputable on the board, and even if you are new a lot of us know it doesn't take long to reach 20 posts!

The Community Guidelines have been updated to reflect the new rules:

Marketplace Rules The Marketplace is a free classifieds service to registered users of AllDoulas who have made 20 or more posts. When you use the AllDoulas Marketplace, you agree to the following terms and will abide by these rules: You understand that AllDoulas does not endorse any ad posted, and does not take responsibility for the transactions that are initiated through our site or their outcomes. Ad postings must contain items or products related to pregnancy, childbirth education, doula business, newborn/infant, or women's health. You may NOT post a Marketplace ad for a product in your online store or a link to an EBay (or other) auction. That is considered advertising. If you are interested in promoting your online store or auctions, please use the Contact Us form. Inappropriate ads will be immediately removed by AllDoulas Staff and the poster may not be notified. You may receive a Warning or an Infraction for posting an inappropriate ad. This is at the discretion of the Staff. Repeated inappropriate ads or spam will not be tolerated and may result in the loss of your AllDoulas account. After you purchase or sell something through the Marketplace, we ask that you use the Doula Trader Ratings System to leave feedback for the other user. Make sure you know who you are buying from or selling to and remember that you are using the Marketplace at your own risk. Doula Trader Ratings System Terms AllDoulas has put a Doula Traders system in place for members to rate each other after a transaction. The feedback (comments) and rating system is similar to EBay. To access the system click on the link "Doula Traders" in the navbar. The comments made in the Doula Traders system are moderated by Staff and normal posting rules apply (meaning you may describe a bad transaction but without vulgarity or an attacking demeanor). Our Staff reserves the right to remove or censor any feedback.
