<div class="graybody">After over 12 hours of work on AllDoulas today, I have some VERY exciting additions and changes to announce!
New Event Calendar Feature - Event RSVP and Discussion System
AllDoulas Staff and Club members have access to adding events, workshops, trainings, and conferences to the Events calendar. I have just implemented a system which makes these postings interactive. You can now RSVP to an event posted on the calendar! Furthermore, when you click on an event on the calendar, it now takes you to a page where you can reply to the event and ask questions about it or discuss it.
I would like to suggest that if you are attending a training that is posted on the calendar, to RSVP! Also, our Monday Night Chat events are listed, please RSVP to those as well so we can get an estimated count of who will be there.
Live Chat Help & Support Tickets
Today I implemented a Live Help system where our staff members will be available to chat with if you need help. There is an image in the pink sidebar on the left, under the Preggie Pops ad that indicates whether a staff member is available to chat with or not. I also have the image linked in my signature. If you see we are online, click the image to be connected to a staff member. This is particularly great for newbies or even existing members if they have questions. If we are offline you can choose to submit a support ticket which will be looked at as soon as someone gets online.
New Member Pages System (yet to be officially named)
Later this week I am hoping to launch the new member pages system which is packed with features! It has a "My Space" feel and is very simple to use. The goal of this new system is to
promote doula networking. When I launch this new system I will be removing the old Member Pages link. You will still be able to access the content on your old member page, so you can copy some of it into your new page. Then, I will remove all of the remaining old member pages system in about a month.
To access your member page's content after I remove the member pages link, go to your
USER CP > Edit Userpage.
New DVD, Video & Audio CD Review Category
This new review category has been added to the reviews section. Visit it
here. Also - The Book, Product, DVD/Video/CD categories have all been changed so they display the reviews in alphabetical order by title. Training reviews are displayed with most recently added review first.
I have upped the avatar max dimensions to 120x120 pixels for all members
AllDoulas Mentor Program Close to Launch
We are hoping to have this released this week.
AussieDoula is the Mentor Program Director so all inquiries can be sent to her via PM. We just need to finish up a couple more things and we'll be good to go!! If you are an experienced doula who is interested in mentoring new doulas, or a new doula who would like to be mentored, stay tuned!! Aussie has worked very hard on this program and it is outstanding!
