wow....2 births in 2 days!

One of my clients went into labor at about 1 PM yesterday (thank you Angie for the referral!!)....beautiful unmedicated birth center birth! At about 4 while at this birth my Mom called to tell me she was in the hospital with a pulmonary embolism so it was quite hard to get through the birth, but I did it! Than this morning at about 6am my other client called! Quick medicated birth at hospital....so completely different but still awesome! This was her 4th child so two pushes and he was born! I feel pretty wiped out but very happy! I now have 4 births so it is time to get started on my stuff to send to DONA !! I had no idea this could all happen so fast!

she's doing alright...she'll be in the ICU for about 3 days but so far we're expecting a full recovery, but I will admit I am pretty scared and worried about her.

Awesome! I know what that feels like, and it ROCKS. But does take a few days to receiver when you crash after 'coming down'.

i tell you birth is a drug and I am hooked

Sorry to hear about your mom though I hope she is ok.
