Working on a holiday!!!
4th of July is here, and I am off to the hospital - my 7/17 client's water broke and she is starting to have contractions.
Send :laborvibes my way!!!
I'll post the birth story over in Birth Stories tomorrow! (or the next day, depending on how this goes....)

Sending lots of labor vibes your way.
I think it would be kind of neat to have a birthday on the 4th of July. Think about how easy it would be to host a party, you even get fireworks for yourself!
You should look at it this way. The due date was very close to your dd's birthday. This way it won't conflict with that any longer.
Hope it all goes well. I'll be looking forward to reading the birth story.

Good luck! I had a client go into labor on July 4th last year, I totally missed the celebration with my family and the baby was ultimately born on July 5th, but it was a great birth. Baby was born direct OP with no back labor and no meds!

Well if it is any consolation I worked on Canada Day while my family went off to a party with all our friends. And unfortunately it wasn't a birth. It was my part-time job so it basically sucked to know my kids were watching fireworks without me. I would have much rather been at a birth if I couldn't have been with them. You still get fireworks but they aren't the flashy explosive kind.
