I'm not a fan of them either but I didn't have much choice. I have an incompitent cervix due to having 2/3 of my cervix removed a while back (pre-cancer).
My biggest fear is that I won't dilate completely and end up with a c-section. I had my previous 2 children vaginally so a c-section would devestate me. I LOVE going through labor. I would feel cheated out of it if i couldn't deliver that way.
From what i've read about it though, you can still birth vaginally. I've had a couple friends who had cerclages as well and they too delivered vaginally. I guess I have to wait and see how it goes....
