Client being induced tonight

I ahve a client that is being induced tonight. Apparently they are starting her on low dose pit tonight and then giving her something that will "knock her out". Not really sure what that is though and neigher does she.
Wish us all luck!

Wow, good luck with that one; sounds like mom doesn't really care?!

Maybe they're giving her a sleeping pill, to help her sleep through contractions?

Sending good labor vibes her way! I'll be interested to hear how this turns out for her...

Yep, they gave me Ambien, too. That stuff gave me nasty hallucinations. I thought there were worms all over the hospital room.

Yikes! I had no idea that was a possibility with Ambien! Will remember that one for future clients.

Nope, she didn't ask because she doesn't care.
I was thinking that it was probably Ambien and yes, I have heard of it causing hallucinations before. Not something I want to be doing when I'm in labor!

Hmmm.. I guess it depends on the person.. I've taken Ambien before.. years ago.. it never gave me that side effect.. it actually helped me sleep like a log..

I got home around 8:30 am. Baby girl was born at 5:53am. The induction went well. Mom had a hard time processing things as they were happening but I think she's happy with how things turned out.
