I am so excited! VBAC related

I have two VBACs coming up in the next month. One will be a HBAC, the other a VBAC in the hospital.

My hospital mom called yesterday to update me on her appointment. I was afraid this would be the appointment where her care practitioner turned not-so-supportive or planted some doubts about the VBAC (because of the urgency my client contacted me). WRONG!

She asked her care practitioner what would happen if she went postdates? Granted she had her first 1 week early, but you never can predict. Her care practitioner said she would consider breaking her water, or using a foley cath to manually dilate the cervix. I WAS AMAZED!

Also, my client's mom is a former L&D nurse. My client wants to stay home as long as possible, and she even considered asking her mom to check her cervix. She shared this with her care practitioner, and was told if they were both comfortable with it, it would be a good option.

It is so nice to have a care practitioner that you can share your ideas and feelings with and not have to hide your plans and intentions!

The odd thing is, this same practitioner has tried to dissuade another friend of mine who came in asking about VBACs. It is pretty hush-hush, and I almost wonder if they have to prove themselves somehow before she lets them know she would consider it?
