You know, I was excited to create this because I couldn't find a doula board out there that I was particularly happy with. It felt like there was a need to be filled, and I'm definately trying to fill it. I am a big fan of this forum software, and wasn't aware of any other doula board that used it. There are also little things around here that still need to be done, but I am working on it daily.
That said... a little about my personal life:
I'm Tiffany, an American who married a Canadian and am currently living in London, Ontario with my DH and two little girls, Natalie 3 1/2 years and Olivia almost 9 months. Natalie was a hospital birth, OB I never met, epidural at 4cm, uncomplicated vaginal birth. Olivia was my homebirth, with a midwife.. what an amazing experience! However my story about deciding on homebirth is not very traditional at all. 
I am a computer geek turned doula in 2002 after the birth of my first daughter. I have a deep interest in the medical field, especially women's health. I had dreams of becoming a nurse, but am not sure I'm going that route anymore. I'd like to further my doula business and obtain some skills to compliment my doula service. I scrapbook in my spare time, and we just bought/built our first house. No pets, I'm allergic.
The tile guy is coming between now and 8:30am.. he's got to replace some tiles on our main floor, so I may be gone for most of the day. Thinking of taking the kids shopping after he leaves so we don't disturb the floor for a while. |
