Yep... another newbie!
Hi everyone! 
I've been interested in Doula work for a few years, but only started my journey toward becoming one at the beginning of 2005. I would love to continue expanding my experience as a Birth Doula but, with an active toddler, I have decided to fulfill my birth passion and remain a part of the birthing community by focusing more on postpartum work for now. It's so rewarding, and beneficial to women in many ways.
I'm really excited to have found this community! 
Looking forward to seeing everyone around the forums!

Welcome. I also trained in 2005, but because of toddler, didn't really start pursuing clients until the beginning of this year. Good luck to you

Re-Intro (and it's about time, too)!
Hiya all! Reading my intro from way back when is a tad embarrassing, but here I go again...
I'm Aussie, a doula of some 5-odd years, once-regular visitor of this wonderful community, and ex-staff member-turned-super moderator for over a year helping Tiffany keep you girls in line. 
An international move left me with no time (or internet connection  ), and I had to step down from my beloved duties here to focus on relocating with my small family (just me, DP, and much-loved kiddo who is growing up and breaking my heart  ). During my absence, I thought about folks here on a daily basis (cried about some, laughed about others, and generally just missed the whole bunch). 
I'm finally settled into life here, and am starting my doula business anew (nothing more frightening than learning 'The Birth Rules' all over in a new place). Clients are coming in again, and I'm getting over my "newbie nerves".  This feels worse than when I started doula work for the first time!
Ok, now that we've covered some birth mumbo-jumbo, here are the important things about me:
I'm terrified of bubble wrap and corn fields (  eep!  ), and I value my privacy almost to the point of paranoia. 
I'm not kidding about that last part! 
Really. 
So... I find myself logging in more and more often now that I am dragging my butt back into the birth field, and am happy to see some of the golden oldies still chatting it up and holding the space here for all of us to enjoy.  Since I promised, I've made time to officially check in, and you can stop sending those exasperated glances at me between the lines of your posts  (you know who you are, LMAO).
