Wink Hello from Massachusettes

Hi Everyone. Just wanted to stop in and intro myself. I am an RN and new Doula. I am dedicating my personal goals towards teens. I am very excited to be on this end of nursing. I feel like I'm doing more good than ever. Take care all

Even though I already spoke to you through PMs, I just wanted to formally welcome you! What is your first name? Do you have any kids? What got you into nursing? What made you become a doula?

Can't wait to get to know you better!

"mumandme2"......

It's great to see you here, and I'm looking forward to reading more of your posts! It's great that you are a RN/Doula; my mil and sil are both RNs, and I have the upmost respect for nurses (almost went that route myself). I think it's really wonderful that you are focusing on teens, too! I think that being a nurse and being a doula are both very rewarding, so you should be expecting to reap double the rewards!!

Hi Everyone...Here's my mini~bio

Thanks for all the replies. Nice 2 feel welcomed. My first name is Amy and I have 4 wonderful children. I love babies and moms. I especially love teen moms. To watch them go from a scared teen to a beautiful young woman and mother is an awesome thing. Doesn't always go so well but thats why I do what I do.
I got in to nursing because I too was a teen mom and alone. Someone said I could never do anything now and that no one would want someone with a baby (I'm 35 y.o. so this was a long time ago~ wasn't so excepted as it is today)
Well that's all it took! I decided that everyone makes mistakes and that it's what you do with it that counts! So here I am . Me, my wonderfully patient husband and all my babes! I became a nurse to be with people and I became a doula to be a better nurse to all the people! So that's my little speal. I'm glad to meet you all!! My replies may take a little while due to major busyness but hang in there, I will respond....
