Abby's Intro
HI all,
I'm glad to have found this site. It along with a couple of others is going to be invaluable as I start my business.
I'm a mother of 3, (2, 5 and 11), La Leche League Leader and new doula. I am starting Heartsong Birth (the name of my business) and am very excited to glean as many tips and tricks as I can.
I am about to order my cert. packet through DONA, as that is what I've decided will work best for me. I've got lovely business cards just waiting to be printed (my husband works at a reprographics shop) and my neighbour is going to do a website for me as I just don't have the dough to pay a professional and don't feel confident about my own ability to learn (in spite of reading that many of you have done your own).
I'm in BC Canada (Vancouver).
What else? I have a question re. listing myself on websites, etc, but I will ask that in another forum.

Anyways... My name is Jessica I'm from Atlanta, Ga. I'm actually going to my training tomorrow and friday and will order my pac. cert. from DONA soon too!

I'm Lori, and I live in "I-wish-it-was-warm-enough-to-swim-right-now-at-this-moment" Ohio! (Now...say that 3 x's really fast!  ) Seriously....I do live in Ohio with my dh of 19 years and our two teenaged boys. We homeschool, and I've been an "official" doula for 3 years now and just love it! I'm certified through CAPPA and am also studying for Lamaze CBE cert. (LCCE).
I'm so glad that you've discovered Alldoulas! You will  it here; Tiffany, our Creator/Administrator has done a wonderful job, and the ladies here are just the best!  Welcome to the group!  |

Welcome! I'm on the other end of Canada here in the Maritimes-New Brunswick specifically. I have 2 toddler boys and am certified through DONA. You'll love it here!!!
