what size

Ive seen the discussion about what size capsuls. But, what size jars do you use for those that put them in jars. For the first one I did, in a pinch to get it to her quickly, I found a little rubbmaid container with a flip lid perfect for pill dispensing. But Id rather have something that will keep out light if mom chooses to store long term. I like the amber ones. Any suggestions, I know many use the blue, is there a benefit to blue vs amber or just personal preference?

the blue ones are less expensive but good for avoiding sun/light degradation. they feel more like a capsule container to me as well. i use the amber jars for tincture because plastic would leach into the alcohol so glass is the standard.

my local herb shop sells a variety of these kind of jars but i have seen them sold elsewhere too. i recently ordered 50 of the blue jars in a different style and 50 of 9oz brown glass jars. they are really nice, easy to label and look more professional than a mason jar which is what i had thought of using before. see 'em here with a bunch more placenta prints and you can get a good idea of the appearance of everything included in my placenta package.

so do you think an 8oz jar would be big enough for most placentas?

BUMP! I just got these and they are 16oz.

That is 170 capsules, plenty of room if there were more capsules.

I don't get a ton of placentas (though...more than I thought I would) and right now I'm recycling jars I've been stockpiling...trying to be green and cost effective to keep costs down. I use glass...jelly jars mostly, although this one I'm picking up today is going into a tostitos salsa jar. I always explain to moms that I'm trying to be green and keep my cost down so her cost is down as well. But I'm running out of jars...so I may need to get some of those nice ones above!

8 oz is totally big enough for almost all placentas. you might need to use 2 for twins or a super-sized placenta but 95% of placentas will fit the 8 oz size. i use 8 oz for all my placentas - its the size of a small coffee or two really big handfulls of pills. 8 oz is a lot bigger than most pill bottles. i think 16 oz would be far too big for placenta pill use - that's like a grande coffee!. i'd rather have a full looking bottle than a half empty one to give to clients.
