Crate and Barrel

SO I went into Crate and Barrel today looking for a honey container with the little drizzler because mine was smashed (with honey in it) on the floor by my DD. It's okay, she is just at that age where her limbs are growing so fast and her brain hasn't recognized their parameters.

Anyway....

While there, I asked the saleslady about a grinder. The only one they have doesn't have completely removable parts. She proceeeds to ask me what I'm going to use it for.

So, I tell her.

She is in total shock and pretty much scurries away from me.

When I leave the store a few minutes later, I can hear her laughing it up with her co-workers. Grrrrrr......

It'll be great if the day comes when things like placenta medicine are seen as NORMAL. But, until then, I'm not going back to that Crate and Barrel!

If you're looking for a good grinder (I'm assuming a meat grinder?) try the Maverick. I used it to grin up meat and bones for my dogs, and if I remember correctly, all the parts came off for cleaning ...

I think a meat grinder might be a little more power than I need!

I'm looking for a coffee grinder for a placenta.

Well placenta "medicine " is still new and gross to a lot of people. Take it with a grain of salt.

A liitle story......... we were visiting my neice and nephew a couple of months ago. Hadn't seen them in a long time, and Dh goes off telling them all about what I do ( I know he is proud) and nephew says " I bet you are a great help to new mothers in many ways ... both before, during, and after the birth... because I know sometimes women can struggle after as well, right?"... I was surprised because they are in their 40's and have no children. I answered " yes, that's true". His wife looked at me , and I bluttered out " well if more women ate their placentas............., and then I stopped, because I was unsure of their reaction.............. and she said " well yes, we are about the only mammal that doesn't!!" Wow. that felt good. Someone gets it besides me.

And look on the bright side... she may giggle uncomfortably with her coworkers, but who knows. Maybe you opened a door for her... maybe she'll google the concept and learn a thing or two.
