Wink I went waaay outside my "scope of practice" today!!!

I'm working with a PP client who is here from Israel. They have been here over a year and are going home at the end of the week. First they're heading to Mexico to visit Great-Grandma, then home. Anyways...

I dyed her hair for her today!!!

Well It needed to be done, so we did it! We snapped a picture of her nursing the baby, with the dye on her hair and a thick towel covering the babe. Sorry, I still don't have a digital camera so I can't share.

I just thought you all would get a kick out of it. She came out of the bathroom with a huge smile after showering and kissed my cheeck and said I should be a hairdresser Doula.

Fun! hey you were looking after her wellbeing. I'd say that definitely falls under the care of a doula

I think that's great! Taking care of the mom. Making sure she is happy and her needs are met. I think that is a great pp doula.

I don't think it's out of our scope either. I always say, "we do what needs to be done."

Me too! I had already envisioned (just from reading the title) that Jill supported a mom through a precipitous labor and caught her baby! . What imaginations we have!

Dying hair sounds like fun though...whatever makes mama happy
