Unhappy Prospective new client, -Nevermind

I joined DASC (Doula Association of Southern CAlifornia) and I already have my first referral, and it is for this week! I hope it works out. My last job totally fell through and Christmas, well, we won't even go there. I really need this. Please pray for me that everything works out.

The mom has a 4.5 month old and just found out that she is preggo again! She is extremely tired and needs the help at night. Since nights work best for me, this would be perfect.

I just spoke to her and they have decided to not have anyone come at night anymore. Her mom is with her during the day so they are set. I was really counting on this. I swore that my prayers had been answered since my last client let me down so bad, but this just wasn't meant to be either. We have $0 money and I can't bare to tell my kids that there won't be a Christmas. I just can't do that.

Wow, so how long would this job last?

I swear I could never imagine having a young one that little and being pregnant again.

Me either, my girls are 27 months apart and that was close enough! Good luck on the job!

I have one set that was 17 months apart and that was pretty rough. Ds wasn't really walking well by the time dd came and so I had to carry two of them when I went out and drag along a 3 1/2 yr old.
