Today was my second of three visits for one of my postpartum clients.
As I was leaving I said, "just let me know when you want to schedule your last visit". She said, well, I'm hoping it won't be my last. I was like, "oh?". She said she's told everyone she wants more doula visits for Christmas!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think that made my year! She was a little hesitant my first visit, she had been given 3 visits as a gift and she had no clue what a postpartum doula was. Now, she's thinking of becoming one herself.

Don't you love when that lightbulb goes on and moms truly understand how valuable you are? Congratulations.

I highly recommend that all doulas have gift certificates that they can make up for situations like yours when people want to get a doula gift for a mom. I just had a group of women go in on a certificate for a baby shower and they purchased 16 hours of my services. Woohoo! It's also a mom I know so I'm going to really enjoy working with her.
