PPD work

Hi gals.

I just love this website. I have been so inspired. I have decided to be a PPD and get trained when I move back to Canada. Right now I am reading everything from the CAPPA Canada PPD lists as well as Labour list. I had a meeting at the Bonn Birthing centre last Wednesday and I am allowed to visit all kinds of prenatal and postnatal, babymassage, and baby classes. Just need to ask each cbe for permision. I am allowed to introduce myself and what I plan to do in the classes. There are only a handfull of Doulas in all of Germany, but I guess that is because we have midwives everywhere. I hope to get a client or two. Wish me luck. This is going to be a trial run. If I do anything wrong business-wise it won't be so bad. Afterall, we are moving to CAN. They might even let me watch in on some births. I hope so. The midwives will discuss at their next meeting and ask the future parents if it will be ok. I am so excited. I made up my first brochure in German. Can't wait to get it out there. If it weren't for you gals, I probably would have put this all on the backburner until we moved to Can.
Rocks.

That is great news. You are so lucky to have this opportunity and I would take advantage of it as much as you can because you might never have this much support again. So many women struggle to even get into the cbe classes, to be able to observe births, etc.
