Client scheduling?

I imagine this is something I will learn in my training workshop but in the meantime I am curious- how do you schedule your pp clients? Do you block off a certain amount of time just for them- i.e. not schedule any other clients for the week before and after their due date? How does this usually end up working out for you?

This is a little tricky for me, but I will only work in 3-4 hour slots so worst case scenerio if someone were to overlap with another client for a couple weeks I could see one in the morning and one in the afternoon or evening until I was done with the first one. I think I might be running into this at the end of this month actually as the client I'm working with right now went 2 weeks late.
