I have used the Pocket Doula and I leave it with them until after the birth. If you don't have one it more of a booklet than a book but it has photographs of different positions and bullet points for the different stages of labor. ie in the early stages remember to alternate rest and movement etc. They also have an educators guide that has full 8x10 laminated photos that would be great for labor stations in a class setting. Love the Pocket Doula!

thanks christy! The site is ful of useful info! The facilitator of the site also has this message:

If you would like to use these materials with clients or in the classroom setting, just check out my statement about copyright and use.

I am so glad that I read this thread!! I have the Pocket Doula coming to me!! Just ordered it! Currently I have three clients--one is a doula friend of mine, but the other two are having their first natural births and both dads are extremely wanting to be as involved as possible. this is going to help so much in explaining positioning.
Thanks!

What a great little booklet the Pocket Doula appears to be. I will have to add that to my wish list!

Think I will order one as well. Maybe you should think about selling these things since you have pretty much sold a bunch on here, you would make a nice little profit!
