Pre and Post natal YOga!!!

I am a pre and post natal , yoga/pilates fusion advocate!!
Stretching, Kegals, PROPER MODIFIED yoga and pilates are so benificial ! The release is instantly felt and seen , in you - the doula , and the client ; mama.

If you have done yoga before try Gaiam's Prenatal yoga video - Shiva Rae directs the sessions -
There is a demonstrator for each trimester.

If you have never done yoga , and you feel you would benefit, contact a local yoga instructor- I am sure they would nurture your need for the practice!

As in everything , listen to your body, your clients, you will know what to do , when to continue and when to stop.

Hope this helps...

I recommend they look into prenatal yoga classes, or at least go for regular walks. As for nutrition I like Nutrition for a Healthy Pregnancy by Elizabeth Somer
