I agree with all the above, but another option could simply be REST if mom is very tired. Some moms' labors will stall if they are exhausted and need sleep.

For a "stalled" labor -- pee and keep hydrated. Never hurts to make sure those bases are covered.
Back labor -- hands and knees

double hip squeeze during contraction; heated rice sock place on lower back between contractions for pain relief; lunges during contractions to open pelvis

hands & knees, knees leaning over birthball, counter pressure on sacral area, hot rice packs, hands & knees in tub, direct shower on lower back, stand leaning over high table or chair back, etc.

Hands & Knees (surprisingly, I've had quite a few clients birth in this position at the hospital )

Some of my moms want to please their care providers and deliver on the bed so we have put the head of the bed up, put dad against the head of the bed, mom sits a the edge of the bed (think of where bottom goes for a pelvic exam) and leans into dad. Dr. can deliver, mom has gravity on her side (at least more than lying down), and dad is participating. Usually when the couple opts for this, I end up taking LOTS of pictues because dad can't see. But dad usually LOVES feeling involved and connected so as of yet I haven't had a complaint and mom loves that dad is holding her during this most difficult part of labor. I will provide non-verbal cues to dad if he looks like he is feeling "stuck" (reminding him to stroke her hair, use washcloth, or use lipbalm). Mom usually doesn't notice this and just loves on dad for being so thoughtful...it's great!!! I hope what I am describing makes sense.
