Setting your prenatals

I generally set my prenatal meetings for 4 weeks and 2 weeks prior to the due date. Recently, when a client decides to hire me I email them to comfirm receipt of deposit. My recommendation to my clients now has been to book our meeting the same day as their drs appts. Often at the end they want an excuse to take the day off and they can kill 2 birds with 1 absence.
This came to me via a client who first automatically assumed I kept "professional business hours" for meetings. Then she mentioned that running around at the end of pregnancy even to an appt is tiring having any evening meetings at that point is to much. So I have had great success with parents to be playing hookey for our appts and really enjoying them.
Just wondering if anyone else does this?

I don't, but it sounds interesting. My only confounding factor is I have 2 kids in school and they get out at 2 and 2:220 so I'd have to do morning appointments.

Thats exactly what I have been doing Angie! I do 10am appts. Encourage the couple to go for a nice lunch, their dr appt and have a comfy evening together. After all, son there will a wee one around these times will be few and far between for a while!

I'm going to have to SERIOUSLY consider doing this. It feels right, and it'd take SO MUCH pressure off me to do it then as opposed to evenings and weekends like I typically do. I have a new client I'm meeting with this weekend, I think I'll try that out on her!!

Do do! Also, if she asks why tell her it is easier to get teh most out of the meeting when relaxed. After a long day at work, in the third trimester, evening meetings can almost be countactive. You are so tired everyting comes in one ear and out the other!
