I've been asked to speak on the radio...
I attended the birth of a client at the hospital where I was born (small local community hospital) and compared to the "big city" hospitals I absolutely loved the experience! Nurses and doctors were welcoming, personable, and very supportive of my client in every way. I wrote a thank you card to the staff, as I always do after a birth, and I got a call from a gentleman organizing a "radiothon" to raise money for the hospital!! They want me to share my story on the radio, promoting the hospital and in turn doulas (in my opinion!!)
I am pleased. It should be fun!
