Smile Life is crazy (in a good way)

I am feeling so busy these last few days. Yet, it is good. I am finally starting to feel as though my name is "out there". A recap:

In the past two months I have had 4 requests for pp doula service that I've had to turn down and refer out.

I am teaching a breastfeeding basics class at the center that I teach at. This class has been long in coming! We would schedule a class and it would get cancelled, or we would schedule a class and it would shifted around - and then cancelled! It is finally happening next week! I also ordered the Breastfeeding you can do it videos and they just arrived this morning.

My favorite clients (repeat) referred me to a friend. I spoke with the friend two days ago and we have a meeting next week, the day after my bf class.

my LLL co-Leader who is an IBCLC referred a mom to me for a home visit. I am very flattered, but I'm wondering why. Although I won't be charging this mom for a home visit, I did speak with her on the phone this morning and she is so sweet and so in need of some one on one help. I will be seeing her tomorrow.

I have a potential October client that I've been emailing also.

I realize that business, like life has peaks and valleys. I'm enjoying riding this peak!

Glad things are going well for you!! YAY!
Those breastfeeding videos, are they best used in a class setting, or would someone benefit from watching them solo also? I'm taking a BFing class in October, but I would love to have additional resources at home in case I need them!

I haven't watched the whole video yet - I will probably watch it tonight and I can let you know. I will be using it for my BF class.

Honestly, the single best thing you can do, is prepare your self before the baby comes (attend LLL meetings. read GOOD BF books), see the LC in the hospital even if you think things are going well, and keep attending LLL meetings once he Aidan arrives. Honestly, seeing other BF moms interact with their nurslings and being able to ask questions of experienced moms is a traditional way of learning the art of breastfeeding - LLL meetings offer just that.

I am so excited for you as you traverse this beautiful journey. Please let me know if I can be of any help.
