Got a wonderful client eval

From the last client I attended.

She had a very traumatic first birth and decided to take my Hypnobabies class and hire me as her doula on her OB's recommendation.

Her first birth was PROM with no labor in 12 hrs, pitocin, epi, etc... not what she wanted. Her mom is a Lamaze instructor and she was planning a wonderful, natural birth.

Second labor started three weeks ago today at 7am. Ctxs were really far apart and she would call me every couple of hours saying she was going in and I would talk her out of it. LOL I told her to remember it was Friday and its hard to get a bed because of all the scheduled inductions and csarean births.

Her DH did an awesome job, too. The got halfway to the hosp TWICE and turned around after talking to me.

Finally went in after dinner and she was 7 cm. I walked in and she was saying she wanted an epi and dad was shaking his head no, that she didn't really want one. I was immediately able to help her focus and she got to 9 in two ctx. It was about an hour before she could push because she had a lip... but that baby came out within an hour and 45 minutes of us arriving!

No meds, no IV, no pitocin (Even after).

And she just wrote me the sweet-est eval. She is so, so proud that she achieved her goal. And I feel amazing that I was able to help her do it!

What a great feeling!
