My first repeat client!!!

Hey ladies, I just wanted to tell eveyone that I finally got a call from a former client who is now pregnant with her second baby, and wants me to be her doula again! I'm soooooo excited. Since a few of my past clients' babies are now turning two and three, and I knew that these mommas were planning on more babies, and at this time, I was starting to wonder if they really liked me being their doula! I have had a few clients that have told me that they tell all their friends that they will never have a baby with out a doula, and that makes me all steamy eyed. LOL

How great! I know the feeling.. I have had a few repeat clients and they are really special.. and also.. it is a good feeling that you have been doing this long enough to HAVE repeat clients.

I love repeat clients. I love seeing "my" babies older and seeing them holding their new siblings. I love being able to recognize things they did from previous labors. And being hired again is a huge sign that they weren't just being nice when they said they liked you!
Congratulations, may there be many more repeat clients for you!

My first repeat client's EDD is 8/19.

My first repeat client is due on October 19th!

With their first baby, the mom had heard about doulas from reading, friends, etc. When they hired me the first time, the dad was one of these "whatever she wants is fine with me" dads, but he really wasn't so sure himself of the value of a doula.

Fast forward to this past February. My client takes a pregnancy test - it's positive! They go out to celebrate, come home, they are laying in bed, and the dad turns to the mom and says, "So, did you call Dorothy yet?" The mom said, " I don't think I need to call her THIS early in the pregnancy!" and he said, "Call her! I don't want her planning vacation or anything around our due date!" LOL

I can't wait for their birth!!

I just got a phone call this week from another former client -

Going back to last summer, this particular client was due during VBS week. Her doctor had told her that she would go early, but she didn't. Every day during VBS she called and left me a message, and every day on my break during VBS I would call her back and listen and encourage her, etc. etc. She had the baby on the Saturday after VBS, a beautiful successful VBAC.

This past week was VBS week, and I and was very surprised to see a message from her THIS week on my cell during VBS. I called her back...and she is pregnant again!! She took the pregnancy test that morning and called me within 1/2 hr of taking the test LOL

So now I have a March client booked!

Awwwww! That's a great story! We had VBS this week too and I can only imagine how exhausted you must have been attending the birth on Saturday. I want to do nothing but relax today
